 Welcome to my last independent study action project, here at GCE. This action project, it is a continuation of my last independent study from the last term, so go check that out for more background information. For this unit, I wanted to focus on actually creating and finalizing the designs as well as print out the merchandise. This independent study meant a lot to me because I actually brought what I was creating to life! I was finally able to see what Refined Apparel started to look like in person. Through this experience, it was new but a lot of fun. I had the opportunity to learn how to make clothing while on a time crunch. Even though this was a challenge, I'm excited to continue and launch the shop this summer. I didn't have this opportunity if it wasn't for GCE. At GCE I have done several different independent studies and it has truly taught me where I am able to go what I am able to do. GCE has granted me the privilege to continue bringing my dreams into the real world. Thank you so much for tuning into my last Humanities action project. I can't wait to be a part of many more projects at GCE!

In this course called Light, Sound, and Time we examined more about light and how it works. We learned different concepts and functions about why light does what it does and how it does it. While breaking down this concept we learned new vocabulary words and spent some time learning about the electromagnetic spectrum. We also learned a lot about the eye and how that correlates to the light and the effective ways light helps the eye to collect information. Another topic we went over was how light has great importance when using any type of camera and how a camera is very similar to the eye and its functions. For this action project, we were able to make our own pinhole cameras. By doing this we were able to really get to see how light works and controls the exposure of the camera on an image. Since we made pinhole cameras we got to take some photos and then go to Harry Truman S. College to get them developed, so we got to see the interesting process of getting our photos developed. ...

How Is The Executive Branch Involved In The Current #BLM Protest?

For this last term of Policy we talked more about the three branches of the U.S government, and how Policy comes into play with them. For each term we looked into legislative branch, executive, and judicial. We have been looking at how the way the branches run from the past, and how it is being ran now. This completely changed especially with the current events that are happening across the nation. For this action project we were able to do a creative action project where we choose what we are able to do. I chose to take what we have been learning in class, and take what is currently happening in our society today. I specifically, wanted to conduct a research paper where I take a look at what the Executive branch is doing with our current national crisis.
