Diddley Bowie

This is my Action Project for my class called, Light, Sound, and Time. In this class, we conducted a lot of activities to understand the connection between the three elements: Light, Sound, and Time. For this unit, we only focused on sound and how it travels to our ears along with, speed, pitch, wavelength, frequency, etc. For this unit, we had a field experience to The Chicago Hearing Society where we were able to speak to people who have trouble hearing or can't hear at all and use what we learned in our first class, empathy. It was an interesting way to get a different perspective on sound and how it affects someone's life. So for this action project, we put all the elements that we have learned throughout this unit and make a diddley bow. Similarly, to the pinhole cameras, we made to study light.

For this action project, I found it super fun and also challenging at the same time. It was my first time making a diddley bow, which looks simple but also hard to make. I think with this action project we got a better understanding of what we learned and how we can use our new and fresh knowledge with other topics like this one. I really enjoyed being able to be hands-on and actually creating something instead of only writing about it. I think something that I would like to change and fix would be my audio and maybe adding a bit more to it. Overall, this was a very interesting and exciting action project and unit.
