In this unit in Who Am I? We are talking about Doubt and Dream. We were discussing about Freudian theories and Doubts we might have about our beliefs and doubts we might have about our life. I believe that this unit we were able to figure our self out. We also went over Erik Erickson who was a psychoanalysis who created the stages of life. It was interesting because each stage has a meaning behind it. For our AP we were assigned to create a dream catcher to signify things that symbolize us. SR.DreamCatcher.2017 Overall, I believe this unit was very useful and helpful unit. It was very interesting learning about the many stages of life by Erik Erkison and the Freudian theory with psychosocial and psychosexual. Even though the class is called Who Am I? I stilled haven't figured out who I am exactly. I believe doubt and dream can take many turns and can tell a lot about ourselves and what we think is true. I believe this was a great way to end this unit.

 In this unit we were learning about ways we are able to decrease the use of carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a toxic gas that pollutes the air and harms not only us but the planet. We were influenced by the author of Raising Elijah , Sandra Steingraber's three ideas. We decided to make our own ideas to help the environment become a much cleaner and safer place for you and me. An FE that we had which relates to our AP was having a guests come Krista Margroth from Nicro-gas to explain to us more about carbon dioxide and really get a fun hands-on experience.  Overall, this was an amazing unit. I believe that it is important to figure out a way to help the Earth and try to keep it alive. We should protect the planet and make a change because if we keep living this way we are going to make the atmosphere a toxic and unsafe environment. In my class Fuel we are discussing how we use energy and resources we are able to use that are best for the environment. In class we went to a few FE's such as ComEd. We went to ComEd so we could see how they use electricity and how it can travels to our homes. We also had a project where we pretended to be advertising a natural resource. I chose to do wind energy. It was a very fun experience learning about our resource that we chose to do. We had to include the savings/benefits, why we think that resource is best, job opportunities, etc.   Overall, this was a great experience and I had a great time doing it. In class I believe we worked well together while doing group work. I enjoyed the AP but was also challenged which is great. We learned a lot about energy, electricity, resources, etc in this term. If we switch to wind energy we are able to help the environment because global warming is a very serious matter.

In class, “Who Am I?” we have been talking about Truth (The reason why I capitalize the "T" in "Truth" is because Truth has importance and has a meaning just like how our names have the first letter capitalized) and what it means to us and what is our own personal Truth. We would have class discussions about our own experiences that have impacted us as a person. We have been also reading a book called "Sophie's World" which relates to the class many ways. We have been also studying some philosophers, such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, etc. We have been talking about their allegories and how they might connect to us. We even went on an exciting FE to the Goodman Theater to watch the play "The Blind Date." The reason why we went there is because it talks about Truth, which is what we are focusing on in class. In the freshmen class, Fuel we learned about how fossil fuels effect the Earth. We also learned what types of fuels are better to use for the environment. In class we were assigned a project where we were pretending to sell fossil fuels. We were able to choose from natural gas, oil, and coal. I chose natural gas as my fossil fuel we also had to record the usage of natural gas that the US uses and also choose another country to compare them. While doing this we also learned how to calculate our slope and our equations we used to graph our data. While learning all of this we went to visit Tesla. The reason why we went to Tesla is to see other types of energy we can use besides fossil fuels. It was an amazing and fun experience to learn about fuels that are able to use that are better for the environment.
